This morning we had some free time after breakfast to wander around Santa Cruz. We had been told we weren’t going to get lunch since we were flying back to Quito, so we loaded up on snacks before we left. We flew out of Baltra, a small island in the north of Santa Cruz and then took a 45 minute bus ride to the ferry. The ferry only took 5 minutes and then we took another short bus ride to the airport. There we said goodbye to Christopher and Maritza, our guides on the islands. We flew to Quito, about a two hour trip and then went to the hotel. This hotel was in the more modern part of Quito and was very nice. We had dinner and then went to bed early. We had traveled far and we were tired!
